Here we go! This is my first blog post about Darcy and the secret life of a boutique owner. Let me start by introducing myself, I am Victoria the owner of Darcy.
Last year I made the leap into business buying a fashion business. It has pushed me outside my comfort zone at times, doing everything from meeting suppliers, learning how to manage stock, building this website and creating content for social media. The thing I enjoy the most is seeing ladies leaving my boutique with a smile (and a bag).
I have really enjoyed the creative side of business. Coming up with a name for my business was a real challenge. I was just about to give up when Mr Darcy appeared on the TV and the rest is history. Who doesn't love Mr Darcy (and Colin Firth)!
The beginning of the year for a fashion boutique is busy as we have been purchasing for winter as well as next summer. We are delighted to have several new brands joining Darcy Boutique. When choosing a new brand for the store, I ensure that they have styles that suits women but are also feminine, flattering and well made.
January saw our first delivery of new stock from Australian fashion brand Ministry of Style, I love this brand because of the modern feminine styles that flatter women. The high quality fabrics, excellent fit and design ensures that when you wear one of these beautiful pieces they will become treasures in your wardrobe. These styles can be easily dressed up with heels or worn casually when meeting friends for lunch. Our next range is due in store very soon.
I will use this blog to tell you about what's happening at Darcy and share my thoughts on new styles and fashion.
